Kofi Dennis explores a variety of concepts in the Early Childhood years through adulthood, including creative dramatics, music, movement, storytelling , and drum rhythms.
Kofi frequently conducts training workshops and seminars for preschool/kindergarten teachers and childcare providers in performing arts enrichment for classroom curriculum: mathematical concepts, reading, and language development, and bringing books to life.
Parents and children also enjoy his educational birthday parties and performances where they have the privilege of “playing together”.
The philosophy of families “being there” for their children and loved ones from birth all through their schooling is a current pertinent issue. Kofi’s background and experience in Early Childhood and socio-educational values greatly qualifies him to address such concerns in a style that is so holistic and progressive. His creative methodology is spontaneous, but full of inspiration, direction, and hope.
Teaching and learning to play the djembe drum rhythms have become a passionate past-time for many people these days. Kofi Dennis has a unique way of presenting this art form to all ages. He does not only teach, but most importantly, he inspires his students to become facilitators as well. Sharing is good! Come and embark on the journey of discovering the wonderful patterns and concepts of this African culture.
Kofi migrated to Northern Virginia in the early 90’s, and lives with his family just minutes away from Washington, D.C.
